My guess is that it would probably be fine without it. A question on the egg replacer: do you use one of the powdered egg replacers? I am assuming that is what you meant.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03031507973658788039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669315206751120504.post-30533115520878536102008-05-30T14:38:00.000+02:002008-05-30T14:38:00.000+02:00Your waffles look gorgeous! I am busy baking today for the school fair, attempting to veganize some old "classic" recipes - I'll let you know if they come out.

PS We saw the plane on Monday from the top level of the airport parking - it was really bizarre. Well, needless to say i was very disappointed. Now that i'm vegan, it is no longer an option anyway.
I've never owned a car (to promote bikes as transportation) so naturally I (as well as just about every reader of this blog) commend you on your project to build a commuter bike. A regular reader of this blog, GeWilli, would be a great person to get advice from.

Let us know if you find any great recipes from the veg cookbook.

YES, right up there with fuzzy blankets, etc. WOW! Let me know if you get around to making them. They also keep well so you can save some for your bike rides - haha! At bike tour feed zones here in belgium, waffles are very common.PEANUThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01084132705399321019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669315206751120504.post-50840371773119573242008-05-25T11:37:00.000+02:002008-05-25T11:37:00.000+02:00Mmmm. Regarding a previous post from an anonymous person, I have noticed the negative post are always from Anonymous writers. I guess that way they don't have to measure up to anything, nor do they have to be accountable for anything. In the entire history of the Tour De France there have been only 93 winners. The thousands of riders that competed were the ones that made the race, and many have never won in there entire careers. The protein comment was ignorant and so was the never win races comment. I am certain that this particular Vegan pro racer could easily kick your ass and do twice on sunday. Peanut rocks, and I would love to taste her cooking.
RickieRickie Rainwaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14315426223545490980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669315206751120504.post-80728191949439981202008-05-24T21:31:00.000+02:002008-05-24T21:31:00.000+02:00HOLY MOLY were those good!! Thank you again for your fantastically fabulous hospitality.

I saved the "to go" one you sent off with me and gave it to Sasha once I landed in Madrid. She melted and drooled over how good they were. You've inspired her to get a waffle iron! She is definitely going to make use of your recipe. Had the waffles with strawberries and whip cream, but not sure what that was made of. Had some hash browns. I realized it is very hard to order stuff without meat, and the eggs and dairy are always lurking about. I saved your receipe to a work document and even saved the pictures. Now to make a grocery list which is my hardest part. I know I may seem "simple minded" with regards to all this, but I am just in the educational phase. I bought a small bag to go under my bike seat so I can wear a light shirt if I don't want to wear my jersey when I'm needing to still carry my extra tube and stuff. Thanks for the receipe. I was reading about Holland today, a place where most people do there communting by bike. I am still thinking about building a new bike for doing my errands.
rickieRickie Rainwaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14315426223545490980noreply@blogger.com
