Just Three Days Left...

to Vote in the 2008 Veggie Awards!

Image

We're just three days away from closing the 2008 Veggie Award polls, so now is the time to get out the vote! Some of the categories are very close, so let your voice be heard and vote for your favorite vegetarian people, places, and products today.

All ballots are entered into a Grand Prize Drawing for a chance to win these great prizes:

Grand Prize: NEW YORK CITY URBAN GETAWAY
Second Prize: GLAM GIRL GOODIE BAG
Third Prize: MARSHMALLOW MADNESS GIFT PACK
Plus, Weekly Giveaways! VEGAN COOKIE SMORGASBORD

I am under "Athlete" category a few pages in. To save time you dont have to vote for every category. But if you do have an extra second, can you please vote also for Pattycake Vegan Bakery (www.pattycakeveganbakery.com) and VeganWorld.com (in the categories of Best Website, Best Blog and Best Forum)? VeganWorld is not on the ballot (it's a new site), so you have to add it under "Other".

P.S. Polls close at midnight on August 31. Vote now while you have a chance to win these fantastic prizes!

THANKS so much.

Shameless self promotion... good work!

I could have made it MORE shameless by mentioning that you can vote multiple times by using different email addresses and names. In fact, go ahead and vote on behalf of everyone in your email address book because they would want you to do that.

you can vote without putting email addresses...just did.

I voted. Don't mean to be a downer, but we lost another athlete. Here is the link.

It is too bad you couldn't win a trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas. I would buy you some coffee and try to find a vegetarian resturant. Hope you are well.

Sorry, I guess that link did not work. Here is what I was talking about. Again, good luck with the contest. It would be cool if you got to come home for a visit.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Barbara Warren, one of the world's elite endurance athletes in her age group and one-half of a well-known pair of triathlete twins, has died after breaking her neck in a bike crash at the Santa Barbara Triathlon. She was 65.

Christine,
I really do hope you win. I only voted once, but knowing that I could have voted many more times, I should have. I hope I didn't put a damper on your blog by bringing up the tragidy which we here about things like this all the time in cycling news. Perhaps we could all use a refresher on your last blog. In mountain biking, after learning the hard way, I just got naturally good at keeping my weight back and other technical skills. It was only a few really fast and hard slaps to the ground that have taken me by surprise. Since life is so precious, I am sure I would love to meet you in person someday as well as chr15 and Tom, the man that built Nemo, my bike. I am going to post a picture of an old bike shop outer wall that has a very cool painting on it. Keep thinking win, win, win, you go girl!

I posted a new blog with the bike shop murial on the side of outside of the building. I too am trying to promote myself. I am trying to raise money for the Tour de Cure ride in October. I linked the photo and title to my diabetes page. If you guys know of anyone that might beable to donate any amount, every single thing will be greatly appreciated. My goal is 500 dollars. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Cross season so I can follow along on the couch.

You didnt damper my blog by talking about the bicycle accident. The news is part of the cycling community as she was too!
have you thought to join facebook so you can raise funds that way?
