I am the New VegNews Magazine COLUMNIST

I am excited to announce that I am VegNews Magazine's new Fitness Columnist. What a perfect way to unite my pro cycling career, writing career, and vegan diet. As a long time fan and subscriber of VegNews, I am honored to be a part of the magazine.

The column will be about fitness, health, and of course sports. Here is my first column (July/August issue) for your review.

VegNews is available at bookstores, health food stores such as Whole Foods, and a bunch of other places.

OR you can order a subscription to the mag (6 issues
per year.)

If you have a minute to submit a comment to VegNews regarding my column or any other comments/questions, you can send them to: letters@vegnews.com
It is much appreciated since my column is on a trial period. They need to hear enough positive feedback from readers regarding my first article (above) before my column is granted a permanent home.
As always, thanks for reading my blog.

Looks like I am going to need to get caught up with my veg news, since I am one of Miss Vardaros' biggest fans! You look so cute, but tough in your mag profile picture. Way to go girl! Evidently, Lizzer Hatch is coming to Belgium, and I told her in her blog, if she sees you to give you a big hug. I will now go and get caught up on my reading.

Very nice article Christine. I wrote the mag: Here it is and I meant what I wrote.
Hello Vegnews,
I wanted to let you know that I found Ms Christine Vardaros' article very informative, to the point, and well researched. Ms Vardaros certainly seems to know her subject and her writing style is most refreshing. I look forward to future articles by Ms Vardaros.
Warmest Regards,
Rickie Rainwater

THanks Rickie for writing in. Very cool of you to take the time to do that.
Amy, i saw your shout-out to me on your blog. Much appreciated.
I also saw that GeWilli made mention of me on his blog as well.
And thanks to you too mandy and everyone else who told someone else that my column exists.
To have a column like this has been one of my goals for quite some time. If you could see me now, i am beaming earring to earring!

Hey Christine.

Love the article. Its refreshing to see a 'nutritional' piece that is informative yet concise and doesn't dwell too much on the [yawn] science. X grammes of protein/kilo body mass may be but I don't want to have to start off each meal with a calculator. Now if only the sun waould stay 'out' until this evening I may just treat myself to one of those green salads you write about.

You can be assured of my support.

Have a great weekend :) Are you racing?

PS. Nice picture in the contributors column too ;)

Thanks MT for writing in. Too cool. And Chr15 thanks to you too. As goofy as it sounds my eyes are filling with tears of joy and humility. It's sweet to know that there are people out there who believe in me. When you sit behind a computer typing words on paper you don't really get much feedback. Even in races, sure people cheer, but do they do it because they believe in your potential, because they just think you're a nice person or maybe simply because that is what they are expected to do. Yeah, one of those mornings...haha.
Thanks again to ALL.
