Female friendly bib short talk continued...

I would have just posted on the comment section but i took too long that I figured it would not get read by those who posted on the topic.

Regarding the use of a funnel for peeing, I love the idea but i heard it doesn't work. A girlfriend of mine found out the hard way when she tried it out over the toilet with the door open to a living room full of friends. Well, it leaked everywhere and drenched her pants. Luckily she tried it out at her own home so she was able to change. But i could see how it would have been hysterical to pretend to leave the door open to the bathroom and have all your friends think maybe you have body parts other than the ones they may have thought you came equipped with OR have them think that somehow you were able to figure out the aiming dilemma.

Oh, and I have tried the "stretching the bib leg until it is no longer useful" approach. I was on a very cold, rainy ride with Coach Elmo and due to the inclement weather he allowed me only twenty seconds to get the job done. So i stretched the short leg enough to pee. It did work but now I have uneven bib legs. I guess i could designate them for use on long rides, cold rides or when i've had a lot of coffee.

I think Vanderkitten could figure out some sort of fastener to make detachable straps on your bib shorts. That would certainly sell well, dontcha think? All I ask is 5% of the proceeds for this idea ;)

I think I have an idea. But let me file a patent first.

I've never worn a bib...what's the hype?

detatchable straps wouldn't work unless they were detachable on both front and rear but then you may as well wear shorts because it would be just as complicated to try and reattach the rear straps.

There's the same problem in sailing when a women has to wear foul weather gear. Some of the foul weather gear companies came out with foul weather bibs that had a drop drawer (hatch) in the back. Although this seemed like a good idea, the bibs didn't prove to be very popular.

The Adidas solution sounds like a good one, the jersey holds the straps in place while detached.

The Foley Catheter works well, but can be uncomfortable in the saddle. =b

It looked more like a walk instead of a ride for most women.. the track looked to be the worst I've seen for some years.
We saw about 25 secs of the Women's race on National TV.
Christine did very good. Only the toughest survived this race !!
Full results can be seen here :

...jeez, all this talk about pee and at least nobody's getting busted for it...
...sounded like a good race result on thur...my best to ya this weekend & i'm gonna suggest that you give us a brief course & ride synopsis after yer races...

If you put the bibs on upside-down, you can pee fine without stretching the legs or yanking down the fronts. Of course, you can't see where you're going, either. To see or to pee, that is the question. Your racing is fantastic, keep it going!
